Called to Abundance: Rejoicing in God’s Provision

“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.” — Deuteronomy 8:18

You weren’t created for scarcity—you were created for stewardship, impact, and abundance.

Many of the families I work with know both sides of the financial story. They’ve seen empty bank accounts and broken-down equipment held together with prayer. But they’ve also seen restoration. Today, many are quiet millionaires—humble, grateful, and sometimes unsure how to feel about the blessings they now enjoy.

So how do we live in abundance without guilt?
How do we rejoice in our success without feeling the need to apologize for it?

It starts with truth: God is the source of all provision. If He’s given you the ability to produce wealth, He’s also calling you to use it wisely.

Wealth Is a Tool—Not a Burden

God never asked you to be ashamed of your blessings. But He did ask you to steward them well.

“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” — 1 Timothy 6:18

Wealth isn’t your identity—but how you use it reveals your heart. When money becomes a tool rather than a trophy, it can feed families, fuel ministries, and fund legacies that last beyond your lifetime.

Farming Is a Holy Calling

If you’re a farmer, you’re walking in a sacred assignment.

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” — Genesis 2:15

From the very beginning, God called humanity to care for the land. Farming is not just physical labor—it’s an act of faith. And yes, saving for the future is biblical.

“Joseph collected all the food produced in those seven years of abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities.” — Genesis 41:48

Joseph’s wisdom in storing during the good years didn’t just bless Egypt—it saved entire nations. Preparing, storing, and planning are not signs of greed—they’re signs of God-honoring stewardship.

Celebrate the Harvest

Let’s stop apologizing for the harvest and start celebrating it.

Your hands have worked hard. Your heart has stayed humble. And your life now reflects the provision of a good and faithful God.

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the fruits of all your crops.” — Proverbs 3:9

So yes—give generously. But also live joyfully. Rejoice in what God has done. You weren’t created for lack. You were created to reflect the abundance of your Heavenly Father.

Your farm, your finances, your future—none of it is an accident. It’s all a gift.

Don’t downplay it. Don’t hide it. Use it. Celebrate it. And above all, surrender it.

Because when we honor God with our abundance, He multiplies it into impact we may never fully see this side of heaven.
